My opponent, Marjorie Taylor Greene has shown an incredible lack of instinct when it comes to foreign affairs. During the Iran - Israel showdown, she actually sided with Iran, and complained (paraphrase) that the Jews - Israel were leading the U.S. into WW3.
I, conversely, fully support the Jewish state and appreciate Israel’s incredible value to the U.S. in that region. Our enemies are theirs. Of course it’s in our best interest to support our Israeli friends.
But that’s not Greene’s only foreign affairs blunder.
She has sworn on many occasions not to send money to Ukraine, locked now in a desperate war to survive against our arch-enemy Russia. Greene said the idea that Putin wanted to expand in Europe was wrong, even as American and NATO experts maintained just the opposite.
In short, Greene is not merely stupid, but she’s dangerous.
And we can’t discuss geopolitics without acknowledging the huge threat posed to us by Communist China. They’re buying American land near military bases. Their students are in our Phd programs. They routinely threaten Taiwan, and bully their Asian neighbors.
In all of our dealing with China, we’ve to “keep our dukes up”, lest they take advantage of a weakness.
